"Fam Trip" is a short name for "Familiarisation Trip", also known as a "familiarisation visit". The purpose of the trip is to give you a "snapshot" look at the region and all of the schools in a single trip. This enables you to see firsthand exactly what goes on and gives you a genuine feel for the place so you can recommend it to your customers (if you are an agent) or employees (if you are a company Training Manager). So why not just read the brochure? Remember when as a child you visited places on holiday? You never forget them - every little detail, the smell of the fresh air, the taste of the food. That's why we like you to come and visit us, don't just read the brochure!
So how do they work?
Usually these trips last for 4 or 5 days depending usually on your needs and interests and the size of the group visiting. We arrange and pay for all your travel from point of arrival in the UK to point of departure, as well as accommodation in single bedrooms with private bathroom, and all meals. All you need to do is to get yourself to the UK (usually London Heathrow Airport) and home again - oh, and bring your camera to record your wonderful experience. You will be our guest for a few days and shown around the Heart of England region, including all the schools that fulfil your needs.
When can I come?
Whenever you want! HELSA arranges two scheduled trips each year - one in March and one in September in association with the English UK "Studyworld Fair" in London. These trips usually have between 10 and 15 agents from a wide variety of countries. If you would like to join one of these trips just fill in the contact form on this web site and we will book you in.
Alternatively, if you want to come at any other time, just let us know and we can make the same arrangements when it suits you. This could be by yourself, or you could get together with other local agents or training managers and have a visit for a small group of say 2 - 4 people. Everyone is welcome to visit - as our guest - whenever you want!
For more information fill in the contact form and we will be in touch.
Click on the links below to see some of the past trips we have run. If you see yourself in one of the pictures "thanks for coming".
We have built some wonderful working relationships with HELSA fam trip visitors in the past and look forward to meeting you!
