is one of the most cost-friendly places for students to live in the UK. It's a great location. Birmingham is 20 minutes away, as is the beautiful Shropshire countryside. London, Liverpool and Manchester are less than a couple of hours away.
The area was rated a 'undiscovered gem' on the BBC website, and has a great musical heritage - top bands regularly play at Wolverhampton venues. In 2007 the new Pop Art gallery opened in the City, housing some of the most exciting art in the country. Other cultural highlights include the Grand Theatre, Art Gallery, Light House cinema and our own University Arena Theatre . It has a great sporting tradion ranging from the famous Wolverahmpton Wanderers football club based at the Molineux stadium, to an all-weather horse racing track at Dunstall Park and to speedway and dog racing at Monmore Green. Wolverhampton has a thriving nightlife, with numerous clubs, pubs, theatres and concert venues, as well as an active Students’ Union.
